The Wastewater Treatment Operator reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of the onsite wastewater treatment plant in order to comply with local and state regulations which includes daily sampling and chemical adjustment as needed, basic mechanical checks, level monitoring and sending samples off for lab analysis. Qualified individuals will be critical thinkers that are able to understand chemistries and make adjustments as needed to ensure acceptable effluent of our wastewater stream.
General Responsibilities:

-Perform daily rounds of waste treatment system documenting issues as they arise
-Perform regular maintenance of waste treatment equipment
-Troubleshoot the waste treatment system, address mechanical issues, including but not limited to motor swaps and pump repairs
-Take water samples daily and analyze for pH and metals concentration (adjust chemical dosing as required)
-Perform preventative maintenance on all aspects of the waste treatment system as needed to ensure proper care and operation
-Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment outside of the waste treatment and assist the maintenance team as needed
-Communicate any alarms/issues to supervisor as to prevent any untreated discharge to the water company
-Take weekly samples to the lab for analysis and regulatory compliance
-Maintain all chemical levels and order replenishments as needed
Qualifications:

-Minimum 3 years related experience
-High School Graduate or equivalent
