Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Bedford
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
Type: Permanent
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team based in Bedford. This role will focus on the design and development of mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems
- Work closely with other engineering departments and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility
- Modify designs based on feedback, testing, and performance
- Produce supporting documentation including BOMs, specifications, and reports
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
- Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
