Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Support Assistant CQC Registered, Learning Disabilities Service at Sycamore Court in Leicester.

The role of Support Assistant will include:
-Providing a high quality, hands-on support service
-Supporting customers to build the confidence they need to gain further independence
-Encouraging customers to develop their daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and being part of their community
-Working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our customers
-Maintaining a safe environment for clients, providing support in accordance with relevant regulations, procedures and practices
Skills and experiences:
-Ideally you will have experience of working with vulnerable adults, however candidates with a real passion for the role and a willingness to learn are encouraged
-Experience working as part of a team is essential
-You will be empathetic and non-judgmental with a positive approach to managing challenging behaviour
-A positive, ‘can-do’ attitude
-Excellent interpersonal, organisational, listening and time management skills
-Literacy and numeracy equivalent to at least GCSE Grade C English and Mathematics, is essential
-NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards, is desirable
