An innovative scale-up at the forefront of sustainable food systems is seeking a commercially astute Head of Sales to lead the growth of its next-generation modular production systems – turning waste into high-value nutrition for agriculture and animal feed. 

Along with a salary of £70,000 per annum, you will receive a fantastic range of benefits including a bonus scheme (OTE +£100,000), hybrid working, private healthcare, plus the chance to influence commercial strategy and play a future role as Chief Commercial Officer.
 

Backed by strategic investment and entering a transformative scaling phase, this is a rare opportunity to shape the growth strategy of a company on track to scale from £1 million to £100 million in revenue. You’ll join a dynamic team at the intersection of industrial technology, food innovation, and sustainability. 

This role is ideal for a commercially driven leader who thrives in ambiguity, has a collaborative mindset, and understands complex B2B sales cycles. You’ll report to the CEO and lead a small but growing commercial team. 

As Head of Sales, your key responsibilities will include:

- Building and managing a qualified pipeline of international capital projects
- Leading the entire B2B sales cycle: from lead generation to closing high-value deals
- Collaborating with engineering and technical teams to craft tailored solutions
- Advising clients strategically, often challenging assumptions and co-creating project scope
- Representing the company at trade shows, industry events, and through thought leadership
- Coaching and developing your team, setting a high bar for delivery and ambition
- Maintaining forecasting and reporting discipline through CRM tools
- Regular in-person collaboration and national/international travel as required

We’re looking for a Head of Sales with:

- Extensive experience in long-cycle, consultative B2B sales
- Experience working with capital goods, modular systems, or industrial technology
- Experience leading or building small commercial teams with high accountability
- Industry knowledge from food production, vertical farming, waste management, or adjacent fields
- Fluency in English; a second language is a plus
- A passion for environmental impact and circular economy innovation
