About The Setting:

Role and Responsibilities:

* Support students with varying special educational needs, including those with challenging behaviour.
* Assist with classroom activities, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
* Provide personal care when necessary, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene support.
* Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
* Foster a nurturing and supportive atmosphere to encourage student engagement and participation.
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver comprehensive care and education.

Requirements:

* Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
* Ability to manage and positively respond to challenging behaviour.
* Willingness to provide personal care as needed.
* A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential due to the school's location and potential off-site activities.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
