Town Planner - Manchester
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading planning consultancy in their search for a talented Town Planner to join their Manchester office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-4 years' post-graduate experience who is ready to take on more responsibility, work on a wide range of projects, and continue progressing their career in a supportive and ambitious consultancy environment.
The Role
As a Town Planner, you will:
Assist in the preparation and management of planning applications, appraisals, and appeals.

Contribute to the drafting of planning statements, development plan representations, and supporting documents.
*
Undertake planning research and policy analysis to support project delivery.
*
Engage with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders.
*
Work across a diverse portfolio including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
*
Support senior colleagues in delivering high-quality planning advice to clients.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
An RTPI-accredited degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline.

2-4 years' experience in planning, ideally within a consultancy or similar professional environment.
*
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*
A proactive, commercially aware, and solutions-focused approach.
*
Progression towards MRTPI accreditation (or recently achieved).
